Dear Students, Employees, Parents and Guardians,
It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I welcome you to our St. Landry Parish School District website and to the upcoming school year.
As we begin the new school year, I want to express my excitement for our incredible journey that lies ahead.
I am truly proud to lead a dedicated group of teachers, support staff and administrators who are passionate about providing quality education to our students. Our shared goal is to create a caring and inclusive learning environment that nurtures intellectual curiosity, personal growth and lifelong learning.
To our scholars, I want to emphasize that you are the center of all our activities. You have unique talents, interests and aspirations. Our job is to help you unlock your full potential. Our schools are not only places to gain knowledge but also spaces where you can explore your passions, develop critical thinking, become the best version of yourself, and build meaningful relationships with your peers and teachers.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to parents and guardians for entrusting the education and well-being of your children to us. We recognize the enormous responsibility we have in shaping their future and appreciate your partnership in this endeavor. We want to work together to ensure that your child receives a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in the 21st century. Taking on the opportunities and challenges of this academic year, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all.
I am also pleased to report that we are constantly striving to improve our training programs and resources. Our dedicated team of district leaders, school leaders and teachers are committed to staying at the forefront of educational practice, using innovative teaching methods and integrating technology to create engaging and interactive learning experiences. We want to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.
We understand that student success does not depend solely on academic performance but also on emotional well-being and personal development. Our district is committed to providing comprehensive support services, specific support programs, career and technical and dual enrollment opportunities, and extracurricular activities. We want our students to feel supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their dreams.
Finally, I would like to express my honor for the opportunity to work as the superintendent of the St. Landry Parish School System. It is my intent that we head into the coming year with enthusiasm, determination and an unwavering commitment to excellence. By working hand in hand, we will make this school year a truly transformative and unforgettable experience for our entire school community.
I wish you all a wonderful year full of growth, joy and achievement.
Sincerely,
Milton Batiste, III
